At Last

At Last, or Allie as she is known around the barn, made her dramatic debut on March 3, 2008 at 11:52 pm.  She is the first foal we have had born on "Mare Stare" and was the scariest foaling that has occurred to date at our barn.  Allie was being born upside down, and it took 32 minutes to get her straightened out and on the ground.  Luckily, all ended well and both Angel and Allie are doing great.  Allie is Angel's last foal and she is possibly the best foal that Angel has had.  Allie is coal black with on white spot on her front right pastern and a very small white sock on her right hind. She is by our,  now gelded,  Trakehner stallion, Emerald Impressions, and she has inherited her sire's bravery and boldness and spends more time up and running that she does sleeping!  Allie will be registered as a Half Trakehner with the American Trakehner Association and we expect her to end up as a large pony.

On May 3, 2008, a fellow Trakehner Breeder, Karri Henning, came to the farm and took the following photos of Allie.  Allie is right at 2 months old in the photos!  Photo credit @2008 Karri Henning.

Photos below are of Allie from the night she was born, to the first week, to 3 months old.
