Sweet Chloe
June 10, 1994 - July 2, 2008
RIP Sweet Chloe. It is with great sadness that I have to write that we had to euthanize Chloe on Tues, July 2, 2008 at 3:17 pm due to neurological issues. Chloe was a wonderful mare and a fantastic mother - really one of the great broodmares of the world. I want to offer my condolences to all those that have come into contact with this sweet mare - she had many friends and fans and will be greatly missed. Below are photos that were taken of her with her filly from this year, Sera, about one month prior to her death. It is still hard to believe that this beautiful, vibrant mare is gone.

Welcome to the newest member of our broodmare band, Sweet Chloe! Chloe is by Carino and out of a Thoroughbred mare. She is confirmed in foal to the stallion Veneziano for a March of 2008 baby. ** NEWS FLASH** Chloe had a beautiful FILLY on April 10, 2008! She is being bred back to Veneziano for a 2009 foal! Chloe was a successful show hunter until an injury to her stifle ended her career. We will present her to the American Trakehner Association in the fall of 2008, when we present Devotion. Chloe is pictured below with our 26 year old Trakehner gelding, Iron Ton, who is by Insterruf and is our ever trustworthy babysitter. We want to thank Kumi Smedley for allowing us the opportunity to acquire this lovely mare. Below are a few more photos of her newly arrived to the farm.
