2008 Updates Emma started the show season off with a bang at the Willow Bend South Dressage Show on July 12, 2008. Under judge Jos Severiens she won her class and scored a 79.7%! She received 8's for conformation, walk, and general impression, with a 7.9 for her trot. Jos also commented in the Filies Championship Class that there were only 10ths of a point between Grand Champion and 3rd place (Emma was 3rd in the Championships). Next Show is the GDCTA Show in Atlanta, GA. Photo above is from that show. Additional photos below from this year. Emerald Fire, known as Emma around the barn, was born on May 1, 2007. She is out of Encore and by the Trakehner stallion, Oskar II. She shows great promise to excel in any discipline at the moment, although dressage should be her forte. She made her show debut on August 11, 2007 at the Summer Sizzler II show in Gainesville, Florida. She proved that she is the superstar that she thinks she is by scoring a 77.7% under judge Carter Bass! She had an "8" for her conformation and upper 7's for her walk, trot, and overall impression! She won the 2007 Filly class and the judge commented that she "just wished she had trotted during the Championship class so she could have pinned her." She takes after both her mom and her brother, Emerald Impressions, by LOVING to show, and she really "shined" in front of the crowds. This filly has been long awaited and is not for sale. Emma then followed up from that show by going to a 2 day show in Atlanta, Georgia. After a LONG trailer ride through HORRENDOUS thunderstorms (what should have taken 4 1/2 hours ended up taking almost 9 hours) she did not show at her best from being so exhausted and also thanks to the large and deep mud puddles in the ring. She still scored a 73.5% under Jos Severiens, then scored an 81.1% under General Burton on the second day of the show. Emma ended the year ranked #10 in the Nation for the USDF for all breeds in the Fillies of 2008 division. She would have been #1 for the ATA, except for a glitch in paperwork that kept her from qualifying.
