Schedule for the Inspection

This schedule is very much in the planning stages at this time.  Even the day of the Inspection, the times are only a guideline.  If we are running very fast or very slow, all participants will be advised, and there are speakers in the barn area, but please be prepared to show your horse at these approximate times!

 Thursday

 We will be available to check everyone in from 8:30 am until 6:00 pm.  If you are coming in on Wednesday, or earlier or later than these times on Thursday, please let Anissa or Ann know as soon as possible and we will make sure that we are there!  We will have our cell phones with us as well at all times from Wednesday until the end of the inspection on Friday if you need to contact us!

 Noon – 1:00 pm – Set up time in the arena.  We will be constructing the Jump Chute and the triangle.  If anyone is at the facility and can help it will be greatly appreciated!

 1:00 – 1:30 pm – Tatendrang’s scheduled time in the arena.

1:30 – 2:00 pm – Holster’s scheduled time in the arena.

2:00 pm - 2:30 pm - Imminence’s scheduled time in the arena

Odin’s scheduled time in the arena.

Zhivago’s scheduled time in the arena.

Other times until 9 pm, the arena will be open for participants to come into the arena and show their horses the area.  Please do not send mares through the jump chute, and please do not adjust the jump chute unless you are a stallion owner.  Stallion owners – the spacing is according to the ATA guidelines and should not be adjusted.  The height of the fences of course may be adjusted.

The arena will be closed at 9 pm. 

 Dinner at the hotel poolside will be from 6:30 pm until ???

 Friday

 6:30 am – 7:30 am – Last minute check-ins

8:00 am: Stallions will be evaluated on the hard surface and measured.  Please have your horse's number on the left side of the bridle and have him used to being measured.  After the hard surface we will proceed into the arena for the triangle.

9:15 am: The stallions will be shown on the triangle.

10:30 am: The at-liberty phase will begin for the stallions, followed immediately by the jump chute.  Each stallion will be shown at liberty, then be run through the jump chute.  Following the jump chute, Holster and Imminence will be asked to be ready to be shown under saddle.  These stallions will be given time to warm up; please let Anissa know how much warm-up time is needed so they can best be scheduled.

12:45 pm: All stallions will be asked to reenter the arena at a walk for announcement of approvals/disapprovals.  Following the announcements, photos and prizes will be given out.

 1:00 – 2:00 pm: Lunch will be available (catered and self pay) 

2:00 pm: The mare inspection will begin.  Mares will be measured and evaluated on the hard surface first, then proceed to the triangle and at liberty phases.  Please have your mare's number on the left side of her bridle, and it is a good idea to get her used to having a measuring stick near her, as well as tape around her girth and cannon bones.

4:00 pm:   Any horses or foals for voluntary marks to be evaluated.  These horses will be evaluated on the triangle and at liberty.  They will also need to be stood up at the apex of the triangle.  They will not be asked to be measured or evaluated on the hard surface.
