Emerald Acres acquired "Valentine" in March of 2007 from Suzette Bernhold.  She is by the Graditz son, Pennant, and out of a Secretariat granddaughter. Valentine suffered an injury at the age of 2 years old, when she tried to jump a metal gate and got hung up in it.  This injury to her hind leg has prevented her from any riding career.  She did have a bit of an in-hand career prior to her injury however.  The results of which can be seen here.  She was presented to the American Trakehner Association as a 6 year old and approved based on her pedigree and conformation.  Valentine was excused from movement scores due to her prior injuries; however, she scored all 8's on type, frame, legs, and, general impression.  She is confirmed in foal for 2008 with a foal by Emerald Impressions.
